Lydia Ortiz

Lydia Ortiz is a Filipino-American illustrator, designer, and art director based in the San Francisco East Bay. Born and raised in the Philippines, she migrated to the United States at age 19. Lydia is Lead Designer for picture books at Chronicle Books (and currently Senior Art Director at Apple). Her bold, graphic, and colorful work features stylized silhouetted figures in playful formations against bright nostalgic palettes. She has worked with The New York Times, LA Times, The Washington Post, MTV, Adobe, Instagram, Adult Swim, FSG Books, Penguin Books, Teen Vogue, WIRED, and Airbnb. Lydia co-created the "Little Feminist" children's book series.
