Jordan Awan

Jordan Awan is an illustrator and art director based in Salem, Massachusetts, from a family of renowned artists including Rea Irvin, Otto Soglow, Saul Steinberg, and Charles Barsotti. A graduate of Pratt Institute, he is formerly art director of The New Yorker and creative director of MIT Technology Review. Jordan's playful, precise illustrations feature simple figures that interact animatedly with their illustrated world, creating work where serious concepts can be explored in surprising or silly ways. He has worked with TED, Glenstone Museum, The New York Times, Bloomberg, and The Wall Street Journal. Jordan teaches at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and was selected as Art Directors Club Young Guns 9.
