Charlotte Ager

Charlotte Ager is a British illustrator based in London, originally from the Isle of Wight. A graduate of Kingston University, she creates hand-painted illustrations using traditional media of paint and pencil, finishing digitally in Photoshop. Her evocative, multilayered work explores the poetry in everyday experience, with vibrant colors inspired by Matisse, Gauguin, and Picasso. Charlotte's illustrations tackle difficult topics while maintaining capacity for joy and silliness. She has worked with The Guardian, The New York Times, Google Design, Penguin Random House, WeTransfer, and Soho House. She is represented by Inkling Illustration and has completed residencies in Ireland, Indonesia, and Italy.
