Benoit Tardif is a Montreal-based illustrator known for his vibrant, whimsical style marked by bold colors, imaginative scenes, and playful characters. After studying graphic design at Université du Québec à Montréal, he transitioned to illustration under the mentorship of Pol Turgeon. His work, often tinged with irony and influenced by silkscreen printing and poster design, has appeared in The New York Times, The Walrus, Ricardo Magazine, and many more. Benoit has illustrated Montreal Canadiens jerseys and created iconic drawings of local establishments. He works with both traditional and digital techniques, drawing inspiration from folk arts, vintage sports imagery, and midcentury illustration.
