Sue Doeksen

Sue Doeksen is an Amsterdam-based illustrator and visual artist (born 1982) who describes herself as a "visual adventurer. " After studying graphic design and illustration at Utrecht School of the Arts, she creates intricate worlds overpopulated with bright colors, friendly shapes, layered concepts, and hidden jokes. Sue works across physical, digital, pencil-drawn, paper-cut, and animated mediums, ranging from paper, ink, aluminum, and wood. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she has worked with Hermès, Pinterest, Ikea, Warby Parker, Nike, Adidas, and numerous other brands. Sue teaches illustration at Utrecht School of the Arts and works from a studio at a former WWII German airport. Represented internationally by The Illustration Room and in Europe by OH ME.
