Lorenzo Gritti

Lorenzo Gritti is a Milan-based illustrator who quit his day job as an educator after 10 years to dedicate himself to illustration. A graduate of Mi Master in Editorial Illustration, he quickly began working for U.S. newspapers and magazines. In 2016, Lorenzo won a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators in New York for his minimalistic portrait series "Quick Portraits. " His work uses little color and features bold lines with strong background colors, inspired by old comics from the 1940s and 1950s. Lorenzo has worked with The New Yorker, The New York Times, GQ, The Wall Street Journal, and Penguin Random House. Represented by Purple Rain Illustrators.
