Gizem Vural

Gizem Vural is an award-winning illustrator and artist from Istanbul, based in New York. After studying graphic design at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, she moved to pursue illustration. Her work is characterized by vibrant explosions of color paired with sketchy gradated tones of black, grey, and white, creating emotionally expressive abstract compositions. Gizem has worked with The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Apple, Bloomberg, and Google. She holds three medals from the Society of Illustrators and has been recognized by Communication Arts and American Illustration. As of 2024, she focuses on creating abstract artworks and is represented by Uprise Art gallery.
