"During lockdown I've been watching and really enjoying a lot of Asian cinema. There's often an incredible quality of depth in plot, writing and cinematography. You can tell so much care and attention has been paid to making these films. I've found this especially so with films by Hirokazu Kore-eda, Bong Joon-Ho, Lee Chang-Dong and also the one film (that I've so far seen) by Wong Kar Wai, called In the Mood for Love. It's from 2000, set in 1960s Hong Kong and is dripping in atmosphere and rich texture, with gorgeous camera compositions and lighting. So, with this collage I wanted to try and capture some of that richness of texture and atmosphere to reflect what I've come to love in Asian cinema."
