Thank you to everyone who entered and supported the first annual YUCs!

We had hundreds of entries, and are thrilled to have had the opportunity to see such incredible work. Thank you to the judges for taking on the task of selecting the winner, runners up, and the ’merit’s; the entries that deserved an honorable mention.

RoomFifty brings you work by 50 of the best artists and designers around the world. But we wanted to do something to support and showcase work by artists in the early stages of their career. 

The YUCs (‘Young Upstart Competition’) are in part a reaction to the more exploitative ‘opportunities’ offered to young artists that we’ve seen flying around. 

The top 3 are available as prints for 6 months (with all profits going to the artists) and the overall winner has received a cash prize of £250. 

The competition closed at midnight GMT on February 10th 2021.
