Katharina Bourjau

Katharina Bourjau is a freelance illustrator working between Munich and Stuttgart, Germany. Born in 1990 in Munich, she studied Graphic Design at the Academy of Arts in Stuttgart. Her work features vibrant color compositions and captures landscapes, people, and the atmosphere of places like Bavaria and Munich with humor and warmth. Katharina illustrates mainly for magazines and newspapers including The New Yorker, The Daily Telegraph, Monocle Magazine, Zeit Leo, The Weekender, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and tip Berlin. She is passionate about color and enjoys the freedom of working flexibly. Katharina sells prints through RoomFifty and has illustrated books about Bavarian folklore and legends.
