Collection: Jared Nangle

Jared Nangle is a cartoonist and illustrator originally from Sacramento, California, currently living in Paris, France. He studied film and music at the University of San Francisco, afterwards getting a job at American Zoetrope where he would work for the Coppola family for the next five years before moving to New York to pursue a career in cartooning and illustration. Jared has been contributing cartoons, comics, and spot illustrations to The New Yorker since 2019, including his series "Cat & Ribbon." His work has also appeared in The Times, The Baffler, and various other publications. Working with simple, expressive line work and a gentle sense of humour, Jared creates charming observational cartoons and illustrations. His letterpress prints are available through Archie's Press in collaboration with Archie Archambault. Jared maintains an active sketchbook practice, documenting moments from daily life with wit and warmth.
