Holly St Clair is an illustrator and educator based in London, UK. A 2017 graduate from Camberwell College of Arts, she creates playful, bold, and colorful illustrations with deceptive simplicity focusing on communication and miscommunication. Her work features simple facial expressions and symbolic illustration exploring themes of language and meaning. Holly is half-Asian and draws inspiration from heta-uma, a Japanese art style meaning "bad but good. " She has worked with The New York Times and Lazy Oaf, and is an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell. Holly also hosts the Stuff.jpg podcast and sells prints, zines, and products through her online shop.
