Daniel Zender

Daniel Zender is a Brooklyn-based artist and illustrator whose work spans editorial illustration, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and comics. After studying at Missouri State University and earning his MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in 2014, he quickly gained recognition with gold and silver medals from the Society of Illustrators and the Art Directors Club Young Guns award. His atmospheric work, inspired by horror cinema like The Exorcist and Suspiria, blends mystery and dark humor with an approachable quality. Daniel has worked with The New Yorker, The New York Times, Nike, Adidas, Facebook, and Google, and teaches at Queens College while maintaining two studios in Brooklyn.
