Anna Haifisch

Anna Haifisch is a German cartoonist and illustrator based in Leipzig, best known for her acclaimed series "The Artist, " originally published by Vice magazine. Born in 1986, she studied graphic design and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig. Her work features bird-like characters and anthropomorphic animals, drawn with thin ink lines and expressive yellow and orange colors. She has created illustrations for The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Die Zeit, and won the 2020 Max-und-Moritz-Preis as Best Comic Artist in German language publications. Co-founder of The Millionaires Club comics festival.
